Run lots of 5k and 10k races

 run 2 half marathons (might take a little bit depending on baby number 3 coming into the pic) by the time im 30

Lose 20 more pounds

stay active and healthy


Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue to run throughout my pregnancies

run many races 5k, 10k, 10 mile and half marathons

keep my weight at a healthy weight



Personal:

I am a 27 year old momma to 2 beautiful little girls, Skylar 2 and Kylie 1. I have been married to a wonderful husband Mark for 3 1/2 years. We plan on having more children but taking it 1 at a time! :) I am new to running and feel like its an uphill battle right now but am going to keep fighting through it! im amazed at how far i have come and the confidence it builds! Im a competitor at heart but have let fear get in my way! NO MORE! :)

ok....today was the day!! My race finally came and boy have i been slacking this last couple of weeks :( i was actually pretty darn sick for the last week so this week i had to reach in deep and really push in to run because i new if i didn't keep it going i would have not gone today. So not only is it my big race day but also my daughters 3rd birthday, which i always make a special cake for. So i was up pretty late last night finishing up her princess cake but think i got ok sleep once i finally hit the pillow around 12. I went alone to the race got there good time around 6:15 made some new friends and headed up on the bus. We had to wait for an hour or so in the rain before it started but it wasn't too bad. I definitely could feel the tiredness of not running so great last week but i kept it going. I averaged a 10:50 mile and feel ok about that. My goal was 10 min but ill take it! I feel great. It was so nice to see my amazing hubby (who hasn't missed a race yet) standing with my two little angels as i rounded the finish line. Also my cute parents and sister surprised me with a few feet further on. This is such a huge accomplishment for me. 9 months ago i was 50 lbs heavier and couldn't run for 1 min straight. I would NEVER have thought this was possible. But i started weight watchers with the most AMAZING leader ever (Marion) and somehow the switch went off in my head from i can't do it to I WILL do it. 10 miles may not be long for a lot of people but its such an amazing start for me. I will prob be pregnant anytime now but promise to keep up running as long as i can during and will do a half marathon as soon as possible after my next delivery :)

Also i can now say that i want to do a full marathon. That is something i never thought i would want to do, ever! But i do and i will! Running has changed my life and i love it. This has been the hardest year of my life so far, just from jan on and if i didn't have my running i wouldn't have made it through. Im so glad that i made this goal and that i finished through. thanks for all the positive comments and help throughout my training. this is the best blog site ever!!!!! time to hit the sack i don't think i will struggle at all with sleep tonight.
